While she had been the one to use the word first, it still startles Sylvie a little to hear Bucky call her a friend. Before the TVA, before meeting Loki and Mobius, she hadn't had friends. People she used, people she fucked occasionally through the years, but friends hadn't been something she could afford.

Friendships were dangerous. Real relationships were dangerous. She's trying, though, to let it happen.

"We are," she agrees, only a little cautious. Her hands splay on Bucky's lower abdomen, feeling hard muscle and smooth skin beneath her palms. "Friends and... something else."
