The word does make her nervous, a little, but that has nothing to do with Bucky and everything to do with her own fears. Everyone she had any sort of relationship with had torn away by the TVA and some small part of her is still waiting for the day they find their way here to tear it all away again.
She’s seen Loki die by their hands once already, she’s not prepared to do that again, nor does she want them to lay their hands on Bucky. Somehow, though, she does a good job of not letting any of that show. Instead she merely shrugs.
“I didn’t know there weren’t,” she says. “Or that there didn’t have to be. No one I’ve been with had ever stayed alive long enough for us to have to think about it.”
