"Watch your tone, she's better behaved than most men," Sylvie answers, turning her attention to the dog. Her words could be biting, taken the wrong way, but she hopes by now Bucky has grown used to her tendency to be a bit caustic, even when she doesn't necessarily mean it.

Dogs are easier, though. She's said it to him before and she believes he'll remember.
